Above you see the new record of Jose Carlos Amaral, who has now entered some rarified territory indeed; even the great Parlagi only managed to go 31 for his first 34. Alexandru Manea has now further advanced on some hallowed ground himself, picking up his first loss of 2007 last month, and 38th loss in 38 fights. Among the relative mortals, Marius Petre Sorin has moved to 0-28-1. Benjamin Robles Murry is now 1-29.
Congratulations also to the following:
* Buck Smith for waiting until round 3 to fold against Calloway
* Martin Gillick for still not having fought (thanks Dumpster)
* Mr. Romero (the promised YouTube links: part one, part two -- thanks bronc)
* 26-2 Chris Mills for his KO1 loss to 8-15-2 Cullen Rogers (Rogers had drawn with 0-8-1 Cameron Bright two fights ago -- thanks C-izzle)
* Allan Green for getting comprehensively beaten by Edison Miranda last night after saying things on Fightnews like: "Miranda is too stupid to understand science, because he is probably the slowest guy I have ever fought. He has a better chance of tickling a grizzly bear in the a-- with a chicken feather than hitting me. He forgets that I am a puncher also. I will expose, embarrass and destroy him. He is too stupid to know any better but he will get an education on March 3rd."
* and, of course, Armando Cordoba for the following masterpiece (credit to Fightnews again): "The fight was competitive for the first three rounds, however after that Lopez took over. He dropped Cordova in round five with a nice four-punch combination and [Cordova] remained on his stool after the round. The rumor at ringside was that Cordova's visa expired at midnight and he had to head to nearby Ontario International Airport to catch a flight out of the country."
